Gone are the days of low quality synthetic hair systems – nowadays intensive research goes in to hair fibres, and is put to good use in producing the ultimate man-made materials to create natural-looking synthetic hair systems. Top of the range synthetic systems can now be said to compete with human hair systems for quality. This means that any negative connotations associated with man-made fibres can be a thing of the past.
While some people favour human hair pieces synthetic hair systems are advantageous in different ways. Not only is there a significant difference in price between synthetic and human hair (synthetic hair being significantly cheaper), but many would also claim that synthetic hair pieces are easier to care for. Though they cannot be straightened or curled (as the heat damages the fibres), they often don't need to be because synthetic hair systems never loose their shape, style or colour (even after washing) so they need very little styling and maintenance after the initial styling.
Pre-made synthetic hair pieces come in a large range of ready-to-wear styles, in every natural hair colour imaginable; this includes multi-tones, highlights, lowlights and styles with a root-growth (or 'dip-dye') effect. Synthetic hair systems come in a far more extensive range than ready-to-wear human hair pieces, and even if you can't find the perfect style for you among the set styles, our experienced stylists can adapt a piece to your liking.
If you are looking for a bespoke system, however, synthetic hair is still an option for you. You might be under the impression that all synthetic hair systems are pre-made, and therefore can't be made to fit as well as a bespoke human hair system is. This, however, is not the truth. Synthetic hair can be used in bespoke systems too.
Kanekalon is the material most commonly used in bespoke synthetic hair systems, and is also extremely natural in appearance. In fact, the only noticeable difference between Kanekalon and human hair is the price.
Amoung the latest technology to be used in synthetic systems is Cyberhair. Cyberhair is a newly developed synthetic fibre which can be used in bespoke systems in place of human hair. Cyberhair is extremely durable and easy to take care of, but still looks extremely natural.
With the technology involved in making hair systems improving constantly, synthetic hair systems and pieces are now a real option for people with partial and total hair loss. You need not sacrifice quality and aesthetics when choosing a synthetic hair system.
